SALVATION – to Be SAVED explained in simple terms. Salvation is called many things depending on who is doing the talking!? I am going to try to give simplified, biblical answers to this word 'SALVATION'. Some examples of what others use is to say a person is “getting saved”, “walking the aisle”, “going forward”. Some even refer to the act of salvation as “getting baptized”, although that is a totally separate act that is to follow salvation. Usually when you hear these words, it means what we will call here, one’s salvation. In a real-talk version, Salvation is giving our life; our mind, body & soul, over to God to guide for us because we realize we could never save ourselves from sin. We acknowledge & accept the GIFT of God sending Jesus to save us from our sin. And BECAUSE of this realization, and we want to be in relationship with Him and let Him lead our lives. Salvation is not only a ticket to Heaven after this life, even though many leave it right there. Salvation can not be earned in any way. We can never do enough ‘good’ or be a morally perfect person. We just can't. ONLY because of Jesus and his blood sacrifice for us can Salvation happen. period.
